FBI招聘瞄准中文人才
The FBI hosted its first-ever foreign language job fair in Houston Friday, local media reported. The languages most needed by the FBI are Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Somali and Spanish. Qualified candidates must have strong oral and written English skills as well as proficiency in a foreign language. They also must be a US citizen and have lived in the US for 3 of the past 5 years. FBI linguists work a variety of interpretation and translation assignments. They also offer cultural awareness to FBI employees.
据当地媒体报道，美国联邦调查局25日在休斯敦首次举行外语人才招聘会。目前最为"抢手"语种为中文普通话、阿拉伯语、希伯来语、韩语、索马里语和西班牙语等。合格的候选人需具备较强口头及书面英文技能且精通一门外语；必须是美国公民，且过去5年内至少有3年生活在美国。受聘语言人才将承担口译和翻译工作，同时为联邦调查局员工提供文化背景知识。
